CIArb meeting: A global professional home for mediators

Open event for mediators to shape the future of their professional home

The creation of an informal, semi-autonomous mediator group is being considered, which might have its own identity and brand under the CIArb "umbrella". Members of the group would elect or otherwise nominate a Steering Group, and take forward its future governance in discussion with the CIArb's Director General and Board of Management.

WHAT: Evening meeting chaired by Michael Forbes Smith, David Cornes and Mercedes Tarrazón  to discuss:

• The need for a professional home for mediators, a global perspective

• Mediation Pathways to Fellowship and mediator designations 

• Current and future governance structure: a Steering Group?

WHERE : The International Centre for Arbitration & Mediation, 12 Bloomsbury Square, London, WC1A 2LP

WHEN : Wednesday 18 th July 2007, 17.30 for 18.00, close approximately 20.00
