America - The newly elected Chairman of the North American Branch sets out his key goals for 2003/4

Following the AGM in New York, Mr Jose A Rodriguez-Marquez - an international arbitrator from Mexico - was elected the new Chairman of the North American Branch. Of note, he briefed the meeting on his five goals for the Branch over the next two years:

· Consolidate membership in USA, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean (excluding Bermuda)
· Examine what more can be done for members by way of networking and appropriate conferences
· Increase membership and members' participation
· Promote an Entry Course in Spanish
· Create opportunities in other forms of ADR (mediation).
