The CIArb is the most important international professional body, which sets global standards in arbitration, mediation, adjudication and the other forms of private dispute resolution.
Our latest membership survey shows that professional qualifications and standards are the single key reason for joining the CIArb. Membership affords a prestigious secondary qualification to a diverse group of professionals from a wide-range of primary professions in thousands of organisations, large and small. Half of these are based in the UK, the other half live and work in more than 130 different countries across the globe, demonstrating that the CIArb qualifications are internationally recognised and valued. Current listings are published on this website and in our quarterly newsletter. A thriving network of branchesAs the most international professional dispute resolution body in the world, our regional and international networks offer unparalleled opportunities for professional networking and career development. In a recent survey our members told us that one of the key benefits of membership was the opportunity to attend the branch meetings. These lively meetings, held worldwide, usually provide one or more topical speakers and update sessions, followed by the chance to socialise with members from a broad spectrum of disciplines and professions. This comes directly to you in a leading academic journal, “Arbitration.” A lively editorial focuses on current issues in arbitration and other forms of private dispute resolution.
