Mock Arbitration Hearing

Course Summary

Neville Tait will be the Arbitrator for the above Hearing and law students have been invited to present a case before him. You are invited to attend the hearing, take notes and submit your award for review.

All documentation regarding the case will be despatched at least two weeks prior to the course.

Who Should Attend

  • You are undergoing pupillage.
  • You are taking the Institute's Domestic Award Writing Examination.

Why Attend

  • For Panel Pupils, this is an ideal opportunity for you to fulfill the Pupillage requirement to attend a hearing in order to be able to write an award. If your award from this Hearing is assessed to be of an acceptable standard, you may attend two days of a hearing without having to write an award afterwards. It is hoped that this may reduce the waiting for Pupils as you would be able to sit in on any two days of a long hearing.
  • This will also be an opportunity for those taking the Part C Award Writing Exam to get award writing experience.
  • When you register, you will be attached to a Chartered Arbitrator who will review and comment on your award and offer you any assistance you feel you need.
